FALL 2024

SEPTEMBER 1 - NOVEMBER 30

A Place Called Heaven

Teacher Peter Nevi, Fellowship Hall. This class is designed to help believers think biblically about the future home Jesus is preparing for every believer. It will also help answer your questions about this marvelous place beyond our tombstones. We will take a peek behind the curtain as we open biblical truths revealing that we can have the assurance of a life forever in "A Place called Heaven.”

Deconstruction & Doubt: Understanding Them & How to Respond

Teacher Justin Zimmerman, Fellowship Hall. Using the book, “The Deconstruction of Christianity” by Alisa Childers and Tim Barnett as a guide, this class will study the deconstruction movement that is currently gripping evangelicalism. We will focus on key definitions and understanding, how current culture and society have shaped this movement, how faith and doubting relate to deconstructionism, and how we can respond with clarity and hope. (Purchasing the book and reading each week are NOT required for this class.)

7 Mysteries Taught by Paul

Teacher Charlie Dean, Choir Room. In this class we will be looking at the 7 different times in Paul's writings that he introduces his readers to a new and different “mystery." We will begin by examining 2 Timothy 2:15 as we lay a foundation of why it’s important to “rightly handle the word of truth.” Come and take a closer look at these mysteries, as we study God’s Word together.

What We Believe Together

Teachers Ron Klassen, Ben Pflederer, Jonathan Farrell, Fellowship Hall. Whether you’re new to the faith or have been a Christian for years, this class is for you. The core tenants of our faith never fail in filling us with awe and wonder, whether we’re hearing them for the first or hundredth time. Our study will explore the Grace Church statement of faith and the FEC Articles of Faith and Practice, with plenty of time for questions and discussion.  Come learn and grow with us!

Forgiveness

Teacher Tim Bertsche, Fellowship Hall. Who finds it easy to forgive? Hurtful words and actions have wounded us all. We will study this scary but important topic as we examine what God’s Word teaches us about forgiveness. The class will include authors Tim Keller and David Augsburger, as well as medical experts who describe the biological damage unforgiveness can cause. The class format will include lecture, table discussion, and testimonies from those who have walked the difficult journey of forgiveness.
