We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
WE ARE A CHURCH PURSUING
Faith, belonging, and purpose in Jesus.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
What we believe about the God who drew us together is central to our identity as a spiritual family.
The articles of faith of our Fellowship of Evangelical Churches is the doctrinal center reflecting our understanding of our Triune God, who has created and redeemed us through the Son of God, Jesus Christ. As we seek to preach and teach God’s Word each week faithfully, we do so under the accountability of these articles. Additionally, this succinct statement of faith is adopted from the National Association of Evangelicals.
One God
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
Salvation
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Spiritual Unity
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Church
Membership
As followers of Jesus affirm their faith in Christ through baptism, we encourage and welcome them into church membership under a membership covenant, which allows for the public affirmation of the believer’s commitment to the church and the church’s commitment to the believer.
A LEGACY OF FAITHFULNESS✱
A LEGACY OF FAITHFULNESS✱
A LEGACY OF FAITHFULNESS✱
Since 1958, Grace Church has stood as a testament to God’s unwavering faithfulness.
From its humble beginnings, when a community of believers gathered and called Milo Nussbaum to serve as Senior Pastor, Grace Church was planted as part of the Evangelical Mennonite Conference, now known as the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches. Over the years, our family has grown through powerful preaching of the Word, transformed lives, missionary support and outreach, and the start of four church plants. God has faithfully added to our number, blessing each generation with new members of the Grace family.
A Church on Mission
God continues to honor the ministry of Grace Church through the preaching of His Word and a commitment to serving both locally and globally. Each Sunday, we gather as a community to worship, learn, and encourage one another before being sent out to participate in God’s transformative work in Morton and the surrounding towns. Throughout the week, our church family comes together in small groups, classes, and community events to grow in faith and support each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Looking Ahead with Hope
One of the most exciting truths of our faith in God and His Savior, Jesus Christ, is that the best is yet to come. Jesus has come, and He has promised to come again. As we reflect on the ways God has shown His faithfulness to Grace Church, we also look forward with anticipation. We trust that He will continue to guide and use our church family as we strive to love God and love people—serving our community and impacting the world for His glory.
